Using POS sales data to help managers staff the right shift size
The brief
Managers at F&B outlets were guessing shift sizes from gut feel — leading to overstaffed slow days, understaffed rushes, and constant last-minute WhatsApp scrambles. StaffAny already had the rostering platform; what was missing was the signal.
Using a Double Diamond approach, I designed a feature that connects POS sales data to the staffing timeline — so managers can see peak hours, compare to last week, and build a roster that matches demand.
